The Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday confirmed the governor’s two nominees to the Workers’ Compensation Commission despite legal challenges of their qualifications.
Tulsa claimants’ attorney Cathy Enterline filed a suit with the state Supreme Court alleging that Jordan K. Russell, who served three legislative sessions as policy director and counsel to former Oklahoma House Speaker Jeff Hickman, did not have the required three years of experience in workers’ compensation to be eligible for the three-member commission.
