A New Jersey doctor pleaded guilty last week to conspiracy to commit health care fraud in a compounded-drug scheme that previously netted five other guilty pleas, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
Dr. John Gaffney of Linwood, 55, must pay restitution of some $25 million under the terms of his plea deal, the office said. He faces a prison sentence of up to 10 years and a $250,000 fine when sentenced on Jan. 5.
