West Virginia’s Intermediate Court of Appeals upheld a finding that a worker suffered a compensable back injury. Case: Spartan Mining Co. v. Burgess, No. 24-ICA-485, 06/06/2025, published. Facts: Mark Burgess worked for Spartan Mining Co. In February 2024, he sought medical treatment for low-back pain radiating into the right hip and leg.
